The Arden automotive GmbH is a low-volume producers, which refers to the modification of vehicles from Jaguar , Range Rover , Bentley and MINI specializes.

history

On December 1, 1972, Arden received official approval to operate a retail store in Kranenburg-Mehr . In 1976 Arden Automobile GmbH was founded and the company headquarters moved to Kalkarer Straße 21 in Kleve . Two years later the company opened a branch on Emmericher Straße in Kleve. In 1982, Arden became a Jaguar dealership and presented the first modified Jaguar XJ V12 sedan.

In 1985, Arden Automobilbau GmbH was founded and the Arden XJS Roadster AJ2 was presented at the IAA in Frankfurt.Twelve years after the legendary E-Type was discontinued, Jochen Arden presented an Arden Jaguar convertible with a roof structure that can be completely retracted at the push of a button. In the same year Arden was assigned the KBA manufacturer key number 7707 and from now on Arden was recognized as a vehicle manufacturer by the Federal Motor Transport Authority. In 1987 Arden presented the AJ 3 Station Car at the IAA, a station wagon version of the Jaguar XJS, and a year later in Geneva the AJ 5 Biturbo with 242 kW (330 PS) based on the Jaguar XJ 40 - the most powerful and powerful at the time fastest station wagon in the world. In 1990 Arden developed and presented the first ABS braking system for Jaguar. Two years later, he moved the company headquarters from Kleve to Krefeld.

In 1995 Arden became a contract partner of the Rover Group . In 1997 the company received certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and 9002 . One year later, the Arden XKA with 423 hp was presented at the IAA and two years later an engine variant of the 4.4-liter V8 supercharged engine with 462 hp was presented. In 1999, Jochen Arden ended his work as a Jaguar authorized dealer and Arden Automobilbau GmbH now concentrated exclusively on modifying vehicles. In 2005 he presented the Arden Range Rover Sport at the 61st IAA in Frankfurt with a new 4.5 liter engine (480 hp).

In the first decade of the new millennium, the product range was continuously expanded. Today, alongside Jaguar and Land Rover, Mini and Bentley are among the brands that are stylistically and technically refined by Jochen Arden's signature. Support centers in 22 countries complete the global network and look after customers on site.

In response to increased customer demand, the Arden Classic area was expanded. In addition to the purchase and brokerage of oldtimers and youngtimers , Arden, as a certified specialist area for historic vehicles, also offers restoration and service.

The Arden Mini AM was voted “Sports Car of the Year 2010”. With the E-Solutions division, a new product series has been added that focuses on the electronic refinement of vehicles. In 2012 a new aerodynamic package for Range Rover was presented. In 2013 Arden presented the new AR9 Range Rover generation with an innovative design and the Jaguar AJ 20 RS as the most powerful big cat with 645 hp and 810 Nm. In 2014, the Arden F-Type AJ 23 won first place in the Sport Auto Awards in the Coupés category for over 80,000 euros in the tuning area.

Third place follows in 2016 with the AJ 24 based on the XE. In the same year the first Arden British Day takes place at the historic Zelem Castle, which is now held every year by Jochen Arden in September. In 2017 Arden developed an aerodynamic package for the Jaguar F-Pace . For the first time, Arden produces aerodynamic add-on parts for vehicles with the 3D printer .

In 2018 Arden presented the Jaguar F-Type AJ 23 SVR with 703 hp at the 88th Geneva Motor Show . In 2018, Auto Bild Klassik named Jochen Arden the most famous Jaguar tuner in the world.

Arden Racing

In 1992 the company Arden Racing was founded.

In addition to occasional appearances by Jochen Arden as a guest driver at various racing events , he returned to racing in 2009 at the Mini Challenge. In 2011 Arden Racing took part in the Mini Challenge again.

Arden Automobilbau GmbH deals with the modification of Jaguar, Range Rover, Bentley and MINI vehicles. The product range includes aerodynamic parts, performance enhancements, wheels, exhaust systems, chassis, interior refinement and various other modifications on customer request. Arden is characterized by the fact that the company always offers technical modifications in addition to the visual upgrade of the vehicles.
