The Jaguar F-Pace (X761) is an SUV from the British premium manufacturer Jaguar . It is the brand's first model in this class.

history

The F-Pace was in 2015 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit announced and at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt introduced in September, 2015. Sales in Europe started in April 2016. The design of the F-Pace is based on the 2013 Jaguar C-X17 concept vehicle .

The F-Pace is in Jaguar Land Rover -Werk Solihull built. The start of production created around 1,300 new jobs. The success of the F-Pace made a significant contribution to the record sales of Jaguar Land Rover in the years after the start of sales. Since its market launch, the Jaguar brand alone has recorded a 77 percent increase in total sales.

In 2017, the Jaguar F-Pace was awarded the World Car of the Year award, among other things . The design by Jaguar chief designer Ian Callum , based on the F-Type sports car, won the World Car Design of the Year award in the same year .

At the New York International Auto Show 2018 Jaguar presented the F-Pace SVR, a performance variant of the SUV. It is powered by the five-liter supercharged gasoline engine known from the Range Rover , which in the F-Pace SVR has an output of 405 kW (550 hp). This accelerates the vehicle to 100 km / h in 4.3 seconds. Jaguar specifies the top speed at 283 km / h. The F-Pace SVR has been sold since May 2018.

Lister LFP

In September 2018, the British car manufacturer Lister Cars presented the LFP, an SUV based on the F-Pace. The LFP is powered by the five-liter supercharged engine, which has a maximum output of 499 kW (679 hp). This should accelerate the vehicle to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. The manufacturer specifies the maximum speed at 200 mph.

Technical specifications

A three-liter petrol engine and two diesel engines (2.0 and 3.0 liters) were offered at the start of sales. Further drive variants followed in May 2017.

Registration numbers

Since the market launch up to and including December 2019, a total of 10,903 F-Pace have been newly registered in the Federal Republic of Germany. 2017 was the most successful sales year with 3,724 units.
