The SS90 was made by SS Cars Ltd. presented in March 1935 . The two-seat roadster is considered to be the ancestor of all Jaguar sports cars.
It was a shortened SS 1 with its probably slightly improved 20 HP engine, a side-controlled six-cylinder with 2663 cm³ displacement and about 70 bhp. The top speed was 140 km / h.
After a small series of only 24 copies, production was stopped in the spring of 1935 . The vehicle was intended for rally racing in the 1935 season. The successor was the SS 100 .
