The Jaguar Mark VIII was a luxury four-door sedan that Jaguar launched in October 1956 as the successor to the Jaguar Mark VII M.

The Jaguar Mark VIII had the six-cylinder in-line engine of its predecessor with 3442 cm³ displacement, but 210 bhp (154 kW). This powered the rear wheels via a four-speed gearbox with center shift. He helped the sedan to a top speed of 180 km / h. An overdrive or a three-speed automatic transmission from BorgWarner was available as an option. The chassis and body were taken over from the predecessor, only with a few changes: The radiator grille was given a wide chrome border, the now slightly curved windshield dispensed with a central bar, and the interior was even more luxurious. By 1958, 6,227 copies were made.

In 1958 the Jaguar Mark IX replaced this model.
