Wektor Automobile und Design was a German manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Johann Bergmeier founded the company in Unteriglbach in 1988 and began producing automobiles. The brand name was Wektor . In 1991, production ended after 68 copies were made. In the 1996 model year , the company was based at Hifering 5 in Ortenburg and was again active as an automobile manufacturer.

The first model was the Competition . This was a sports car based on the Toyota Supra . A six-cylinder engine with a capacity of 3000 cm³ , a turbocharger and 330 to 420 hp power provided the drive . The body shape was that of a coupé with a targa roof . The new price was 120,000 DM .

The W 48 offered in the 1996 model year was based on the Toyota MR 2 . The chassis has been reinforced. The coupé body was similar to Ferrari models. The drive was provided by four-cylinder engines from the MR 2, which were optionally available with or without a turbocharger and developed between 156 and 330 hp. The new price was 92,000 DM and the delivery time was eight weeks.
