IVM is the short form of the company Ingenieurleistungsgesellschaft für process engineering and mechanical engineering . IVM is part of the company name of several companies founded by Julius G. Kiss :

Company history

In 1968 the IVM GmbH & Co KG was founded in Munich by the entrepreneur Julius Kiss from Salzburg ( Austria ) as the basis of today's (loose) company association . In 1979, IVM Technical Consultants Wien GmbH was founded as an Austrian service provider . In 1997 the trading company IVM International Trading AG was founded in Switzerland .

In 1998 IVM Automotive started producing automobiles. In the summer of 2002 IVM sold the German division of IVM Automotive to the automotive supplier Edscha , who in turn sold the company to Semcon in 2007 . After the sale of the German locations, the remaining German companies and foreign locations (with the exception of Austria) were brought together under the umbrella of the new MVI Group in 2003 , which Arpad Kiss and Elke Kiss , the children of the company founder, took over.

In cooperation with Callaway Cars , the C 12 was created based on the Corvette . It was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in spring 1998 and was available as a coupé from autumn 1998 . A roadster followed later. At the IAA in autumn 1999, a coupé with a carbon body was presented that was 20 kg lighter than the normal coupé. All vehicles were powered by a V8 engine with a displacement of 5666 cm³ , which was mounted above the front axle and powered the rear wheels. There was a choice between an engine with 330  hp in connection with an automatic and a more powerful engine with 440 hp in connection with a six-speed manual transmission. The top speed was 304 km / h for the performance-enhanced variant and 306 km / h for vehicles with a carbon body.
