Isdera ( I ngenieurbüro for S tyling, De sign and Ra cing) is a 1982 Leonberg established German automobile manufacturers. The company has been based in Saarwellingen since 2016 .

Isdera Imperator with Mercedes star

Eberhard Schulz , developer at Porsche , presented his first own sports car, the Erator GTE , back in 1969 . During development, he used tried and tested series technology from Porsche and Mercedes-Benz . In 1978, in collaboration with the Frankfurt-based company B&B Automobiltechnik, he achieved his breakthrough with his presentation of the CW 311 study .

Isdera Commendatore 112i

With this experience, Schulz founded his own engineering office in 1982, which he registered as a GmbH on November 30, 1983. He chose an eagle on a blue background as his logo. The Spyder debuted in 1983, the Imperator (a further development of the CW 311) in 1984 , the Commendatore in 1993 and the Autobahnkurier in 2006 .

Isdera presented the Commendatore GT at Auto China in Beijing 2018. This is a 2 + 2 seater fully electric coupe. The vehicle has two electric motors with 300 kW each and a battery with 100 kWh capacity. The vehicle uses innovative 800 volt technology.
