The Mohr Automobile GmbH , previously Motorsport Center Mohr , was a German manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Jürgen Mohr founded the company Motorsport-Center Mohr in 1985 . The company's headquarters were at Weilermer Strasse 15 in Karlsbad . In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Mohr . In 1988 the company moved to Siemensstrasse 6 in Straubenhardt- Feldrennach. In 1990 the company was called Mohr Automobile GmbH . Production ended around 1996. From model year 1997, the Achim Gorgus dealership worked at the same address.

vehicles

The company made replicas of classic vehicles. Many models were available both as kit cars and as complete vehicles.

The Cobra 427 model was a replica of the AC Cobra . The vehicle was based on its own vehicle frame. Some parts of the Ford Granada were used, including the six-cylinder engine with 2800 cm³ displacement and 160 hp . The V8 engine from Rover also was available. On a chassis of Jaguar , this model was also equipped with a V8 engine from Ford available with 5700 cc capacity.

There was also a replica of the Lamborghini Countach from spring 1987 . The base was a tubular space frame. An Audi engine provided the drive .

The Rush model was similar to the Lotus Seven . The design came from Dax . A four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 2100 cm³ and 115 hp from the Ford Sierra provided the drive. Gorgus took over the model from 1996.

The Miami Spyder with the twelve-cylinder engine from the Jaguar XJ 12 was also on offer.
