Automobilmanufaktur-Scheib-Ltd. was a vehicle construction company in Ansbach . Ernst Scheib († February 22, 2018) founded the company in 1975 under the name Automobilbau Scheib . The company made replicas . It was disbanded in the 2010s.

In 1975 a replica of the Bugatti Type 35 appeared on the chassis of the VW Beetle as the first model . Replicas of the MG TD and Mercedes-Benz SS followed later . From 1983 vehicles based on the Opel Kadett and VW Golf were also produced . Other models were replicas of the Mercedes-Benz 540 K , Mercedes-Benz 170 and BMW 328 . The mechanical basis was now vehicles such as Renault 5 , Ford Sierra and Jaguar XJ 6 . In addition, AC Cobra with a V8 engine , Ferrari Daytona Spyder , Lamborghini Countach with engine from Audi 200 or Porsche 911 , Porsche 356 Speedster with four-cylinder engine from VW and Mercedes-Benz SLR with six-cylinder engine from Daimler AG were produced. According to the company, replicas of the Mercedes-Benz 220 S , Mercedes-Benz 380 and Mercedes-Benz 300 SL were also made .
