Honey colors is the name for the golden yellow color impression of honey .

The color of the honey depends on the flowers that the bees used to produce it. It can vary from yellowish (best blossom honey) to brown ( forest honey ), with special single-variety fillings also clearly reddish or greenish . Rape blossom honey is yellowish white , lime blossom honey is light yellow green, and fruit blossom honey is light yellow .

The color tone corresponds roughly to ocher , but the name also includes much more complex color properties such as the gloss of the surface, but especially the depth of light , which is based on the special optical properties of invert sugar .

Only liquid honey is clear and translucent and generally denotes the color honey yellow . Candied, solidified honey has a cloudy yellow color and is opaque.
