Honoré IV. (Monaco)
Honoré IV of Monaco (born May 17, 1758 - February 16, 1819 ) was the ruling Prince of Monaco from 1814 until his death .
Honoré was the older son of Prince Honoré III. and his wife Marie Catherine de Brignole Sale . He was married to Louise d'Aumont Mazarin , Duchess of Mazarin (1759-1829) since 1777 and had two sons with her, the successive princes Honoré V and Florestan I. After the French annexation decision in 1793, he was sometimes under harsh material conditions imprisoned in a dungeon in Paris before he was given the opportunity, with the restoration in 1814, to take over the rule of Monaco as his father's heir.
