Hook Island (from English hook , hook ' ) is an island in the archipelago of the Biscoe Islands west of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 1.5 km northeast of the Vieugué Island .
Participants of the British Graham Land Expedition (1934-1937) led by the Australian polar explorer John Rymill mapped them. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee descriptively named them for their shape in 1959.
