The Horizon Bluff is a 2275 m high and steep cliff in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Quartermain Mountains it rises west of the Friedmann Valley at the head of the Beacon Valley .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named the cliff in 1993 after the artificial horizon of a theodolite .
