The Beacon Valley is an ice-free valley in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Quartermain Mountains , it is between Pyramid Mountain and Beacon Heights .
It was mapped by participants in the Discovery Expedition (1901-1904) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott . It was named in a campaign carried out from 1958 to 1959 as part of New Zealand's Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions based on the naming of Beacon Heights.
