Horlachen is a village in the municipality of Gschwend in the Ostalbkreis in northeastern Baden-Württemberg .

The village is located about three kilometers west-northwest of the center of the main town Gschwend at the west foot of the Hagberg . The place emerged from a glassworks that still existed in 1674. Horlachen belonged to the municipality of Altersberg until it was incorporated into Gschwend on January 1, 1972, and was temporarily the administrative seat of this municipality. In 1830 the Hagkling school was relocated here. A local history museum has been housed in the former school and town hall since 1986.
