The horn chapel

The Horn Chapel is located above Bruck , a hamlet in the Swabian market Bad Hindelang in the Bavarian district of Oberallgäu .

It was built in 1789. The donor's inscription, which was renewed in 1958, reads: “Anton Schmideler, Stifter, / z. Currently inventory of the Hochfürstl. / Stutenhofes u. Rescue swing. "

The white plastered building with roof turret and bell has a low, arched entrance and a flat plastered ceiling inside. In the pointed arched altar niche on the back wall there is a small classical altar by Johann Richard Eberhard with three ribbed vaults , in which from left to right Saint Wolfgang , the coronation of Mary and Saint Ulrich can be seen. This altar is based on similar works by Jörg Lederer .

In front of the altar there are two statuettes, which should also come from the time the chapel was built. One depicts St. Wendelin with a donkey and a lamb, the other a kneeling beggar who probably originally belonged to an ensemble with a figure of St. Martin that no longer exists. It also comes from Johann Richard Eberhard.

The Betbank was probably created at the beginning of the 18th century.
