Horst-Dieter Krasshöfer

Horst-Dieter Krasshöfer (born October 1952 in Dortmund ) is a German lawyer and former judge at the Federal Labor Court .

Live and act

Krasshöfer initially trained as a bank clerk before he began studying law . After completing his legal training, he joined the judicial service of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia as a labor judge in 1984 . There he was employed at various labor courts in the district of the Hamm regional labor court . After a secondment as a research assistant to the Federal Labor Court from 1992 to 1994, Krasshöfer was appointed director of the Rheine Labor Court in March 1999 . This was followed by a secondment as a judge to the Hamm Regional Labor Court. In September 2002 he was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice and initially assigned to the 7th Senate. He later moved to the 9th Senate, which was primarily responsible for vacation law, partial retirement law and the right to change working hours. He was appointed its deputy chairman in 2006. He was also a longstanding member of the Presidium. At the end of April 2018, Krasshöfer retired. He also commented in relevant specialist comments on the BetrVG and the ArbGG, among others .
