Horst Bielfeld
Horst Bielfeld (born October 10, 1931 in Danzig-Langfuhr ; died August 2012 in Jameln ) was a nature photographer and author with a focus on animal husbandry , especially keeping and breeding of pet birds such as exotic grain eaters and especially finches .
Life
As a child, Bielfeld kept native birds and observed animals. He completed an apprenticeship in import and export trade in Hamburg . He then worked in Canada a . a. as a lumberjack and in road construction. Parallel to his work, he took photos for lecture evenings and initially wrote for newspapers. He later became a freelance writer and published his publications mainly in the club magazines of breeders' associations, or from the 1990s also in magazines such as Gefiederte Welt and Parrotien . Numerous books followed, especially in the advice area and specialist books . He published articles until his death.
