Horst Dreske

Horst Dreske (born February 2, 1934 in Hanover ) is a former German cyclist.

Dreske operated the cycling sport as a road driver exclusively as an amateur . He started for RC Schwarz-Weiß Hannover until 1968, after a club merger he became a member of the Hanoverian cycling club from 1912 .

His greatest successes at national level include three third places in the team time trial at the German road championships in 1955, 1961 and 1962. In 1958 he won the one-day race Cologne-Schuld-Frechen , it was his only victory at a major cycling event. His starts in international stage races include the GDR Tour in 1956 , where he participated for the Lower Saxony State Association , and the International Peace Tour in 1958 , in which he competed as a member of the six-person team of the Association of German Cyclists . In the peace drive, Dreske was the third best BDR driver 79.

After the end of his career as a road driver, Dreske acted as a pacemaker in six-day races .
