Horst Ebenhöh

Horst Ebenhöh (born May 16, 1930 in Vienna ) is a composer and music educator (1953–90). Of his numerous works, Die Pfaffenberger Nacht (1970) after Eduard Kranner became particularly well known.

His compositions are mainly determined by the rhythm, the formation of motifs and the colors of sound and noise; Tonality and rational considerations tend to be in the background. He is the recipient of the Culture Prize of Lower Austria in 1980.
