Horst Ebert (soccer player, 1930)

Horst Ebert (born September 20, 1930 in Essen , † November 14, 2008 in Essen) was a German football player .

The striker began his career at TuRa 1886 Essen . The contract player later moved to the ETB Schwarz-Weiß Essen in the football Oberliga West , where he played against Rot-Weiss Essen , Alemannia Aachen and FC Schalke 04 , among others .

Ebert was very good friends with the national player Kurt Zaro and was his roommate. His teammates gave him the nickname "Ackermann", by which he is still known in Essen today, for his enthusiasm for work.

In 1953 he moved back to TuRa 1886 Essen, where he later ended his career. Until his death he was always closely connected to football.
