Horst Franke (lawyer)

Horst Alfred Franke (born February 20, 1949 in Koblenz ) is a German lawyer and professor at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal .

Life

Franke studied in Mainz 1968-1973 Law . From 1976 to 1978 Franke worked in the German Bundestag . From 1986 he was the general manager of the Main Association of the German Construction Industry . Since 1994 he has been a senior partner at HFK Rechtsanwälte in Frankfurt am Main . Since 2006 he has been chairman of the board of the German Society for Construction Law. Franke is professor for construction law and for national and EU public procurement law at the University of Wuppertal and lecturer in the further education course Real Estate Management & Construction Project Management.

In December 2012, he received the Cross of Merit on ribbon for his voluntary work in the field of construction and public procurement law .

Franke has four children.
