Horst Funk

Horst Funk (born December 25, 1933 ) is a German table tennis player with his performance zenith in the 1950s. He took part in a world championship .

Career

The left-hander Funk played exclusively for the TTC 1946 Weinheim club , with whose youth team he was Baden champion in 1949. In total, he won more than 35 Baden titles and was appointed to the Baden selection several times. From 1953 to 1962 he took part in the national German championships six times .

In 1959 , Funk was nominated for the individual competitions of the World Cup in Dortmund. Here he only appeared in the singles, but failed in the qualifying round.

At the German senior championships he won the over 65 class in 2001 and 2003 in singles and in 2008 over 75 doubles with Alfons Dittrich.

Private

Funk has been married since 1962.
