Horst Klosterkemper

Horst Heinz Bruno Klosterkemper (* 1938 in Glatz ) is a German manager and sports official.

Life

After graduating from high school in 1957 in Düsseldorf, Klosterkemper studied mechanical engineering and economics at the Technical University of Aachen . From 1966 to 1989 he worked for the Düsseldorf consumer goods manufacturer Henkel , and from 1989 to 2003 managing director of Messe Düsseldorf .

In addition, he was a board member of the European Tennis Association (ETA) from 1975 and vice president from 1992. From 2004 to 2007 he was the European President of the Tennis Professional Association (ATP). As President he headed the Düsseldorf-Rhein / Ruhr application committee for the 2012 Summer Olympics in 2002/2003 .
