Horst Kotsch (born February 21, 1951 in Frauendorf near Ortrand ) is a former German football player and coach. Among other things, he played for ASG Vorwärts Cottbus in the second-rate GDR league .

Career

Horst Kotsch learned to play football at SG Frauendorf and at BSG Motor Lauchhammer-Ost and in 1969 he moved to BSG Chemie Schwarzheide in the Cottbus district league . After a year in Schwarzheide, Kotsch came to ASG Vorwärts Cottbus , where he was initially not used. From the 1971/72 season onwards , Kotsch was occasionally on the pitch for ASG Vorwärts Cottbus. In the following season he scored two goals in 16 games. Shortly after the start of the 1973/74 season, Kotsch moved to BSG Energie Cottbus in October 1973 and was used for their second team in the district league. In 1975 he was promoted to the GDR league with the second representation.

In the GDR league, Kotsch completed 18 games in the 1975/76 season and scored two goals. At the end of the season, however, the team only reached the penultimate place in the table in Season D and thus immediately rose again. Horst Kotsch then switched to BSG activist Brieske-Senftenberg , where he was active for eight years. From 1981 he also worked there as a youth coach. In 1984 Kotsch switched to BSG Aktivist Schipkau , where he was also a trainer from 1985 to 1987. In 1990 Horst Kotsch ended his playing career. In the following years, Kotsch coached various teams of the BSG activist Brieske-Senftenberg and its successor club, FSV Glückauf Brieske-Senftenberg, until he became coach of VfB Senftenberg in 1910 in 1993. In the following time he trained other amateur clubs from Senftenberg .

Since 2002 Horst Kotsch has also been working as a base trainer at the DFB base in Senftenberg.
