GDR soccer league 1975/76
In the 1975/76 season , FC Hansa Rostock succeeded in immediately returning to the GDR league and 1. FC Union Berlin returned to the upper house after three years. The second teams of the league teams (marked with * below) were spun off from the GDR league at the end of the season. They played from 1976/77 either in the new junior league (the football clubs) or in the third-class district league (the company sports associations -BSG-).
mode
The game was played in 5 seasons of 12 teams each (regional aspects). In a double round with a return game, the relay winners and relegated teams were determined for each relay. The season winners also determined the 2 league promoters with a round of promotion in a round of promotion.
