Hans-Joachim Fröck

Hans-Joachim Fröck (born March 28, 1948 ) is a former German soccer player. For FC Vorwärts Berlin (1967-1971) and ASG Vorwärts Stralsund (1971) he played in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football . With FC Vorwärts he was GDR champion in 1969.

Athletic career

At the age of 18, Hans-Joachim Fröck first appeared in the upper-class football of the GDR, when TSG Wismar used him in their second-rate GDR league team in the 1966/67 season . In the 30 league games played, he was called up in 26 games and scored six goals. For the 1967/68 season Fröck moved to the top club of the army sports association forward , the FC forward Berlin, was represented in the GDR league. In the four seasons up to 1972, however, Fröck was only used in twelve league games, in which he acted as a substitute seven times. Although always called up in attack, he could not score a goal. When FC Vorwärts became GDR champions in 1968/69, Fröck was only involved with a 26-minute mission. Most of the games for the army club, he played with the 2nd team. With her he rose to the GDR league in 1969. In the 56 GDR league games in the 1969/70 and 1970/71 seasons, Fröck completed 34 games and scored twelve goals. In the summer of 1971, FC Vorwärts pushed him to his branch, the Stralsund Army Sports Association. The Stralsunders had just been promoted to the league, but found no use for Fröck. He was only used on the 2nd and 3rd league game day and played the rest of the time with the 2nd team in the third-class Rostock district league .

After the end of the league games in 1971/72 Fröck was released from the army and returned to Wismar. There the TSG had reached the promotion round to the league as the GDR league relay winner and in June / July 1972 still used Fröck in four of the eight qualifying games. TSG did not make it up and played second class in the following years. Until 1980 she was able to fall back on Fröck, who immediately developed into a regular player and was the most successful goalscorer in Wismar for several years. Between 1972 and 1977 he was the top scorer and scored 72 goals in his eight seasons at TSG Wismar. He had played 133 games of the 176 point games. Hans-Joachim Fröck completed his last season in higher-class football in 1979/80, in which he was used again in five GDR league games and also scored four goals. After he had ended his career in the summer of 1980, he was able to refer to 14 league appearances without scoring and 193 GDR league games with 90 goals.
