Wolfram Herlitschke (born November 21, 1941 ) is a former German soccer player. For BSG Stahl Hennigsdorf he played in the second-rate GDR league in the 1970s .

Athletic career

Until 1965 Wolfram Herlitschke played with the company sports association (BSG) of the Hennigsdorf steel and rolling mill in the third-class Potsdam district league . He then worked as a conscript in the ASG Vorwärts Potsdam army sports association, also in the district league. After his discharge from the National People's Army , Herlitschke returned to BSG Stahl Hennigsdorf. This became district champion in 1971 and rose to the GDR league . Herlitschke played a key role in this success as the top scorer with 41 goals.

In the GDR league, Herlitschke was always in the regular squad of the league team until 1977. In his first league season he was again Hennigsdorf's top scorer with nine goals in 19 of 22 league games. Herlitschke continued his streak as top scorer until 1976, where he was also at the top of the top scorer in the relevant league season in 1974 and 1976. In his last GDR league season 1976/77 he was 35 years old, but was still used in 17 of the 22 league games. Although he was no longer the top scorer, he remained dangerous with nine goals. So he helped not insignificantly to the league season championship with which Stahl Hennigsdorf qualified for the promotion round to the GDR Oberliga . Herlitschke was no longer used there, and his team missed promotion as fifth out of five applicants.

Wolfram Herlitschke then ended his career as a football player in the higher leagues. Within six seasons in the GDR league, he had played 107 games and was Hennigsdorf's most successful goalscorer with 66 goals. As a recreational footballer, Herlitschke played with the 2nd team in the district league for a few years.
