Horst Monday

Horst Montag (born January 21, 1944 in Jena ) is a former German politician ( DVU ). From 1998 to 2002 he was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Education and life

Horst Montag attended elementary school for 8 years . From 1958 to 1961 he did an apprenticeship as a butcher with a skilled worker qualification and worked as a locomotive heater from 1961 to 1963. 1963-1964 he was for political reasons in detention . He then worked as a professional driver until 1976. After attending evening school for 2 years, he finished 10th grade in 1976 and worked as a driving instructor from 1976 to 1993. In 1980 he graduated as a master for transport handling and storage.

In the state elections in Saxony-Anhalt in 1998, Horst Montag was elected to the state parliament via the state list. In February 1999 he resigned from the parliamentary group and was initially non-attached. Since February 14, 2000 he was a member of the German People's Union - Freedom List parliamentary group , which was renamed the German People's Union parliamentary group in March 2001 . Until January 2001 he was the parliamentary director of this group. He did not run for the 2002 state elections .
