Horst Rettig (born July 10, 1959 in Worms , Rheinhessen ) is a German artist .

life and work

Through his first solo exhibition in the Dominican Worms' main novice, he got to know Father Norbert Hinckers, who was his “teacher” from 1994 to 1997.

After group and solo exhibitions, Horst Rettig gained greater prominence. His work is now represented in galleries and can be found in corporate and private collections.

Furthermore, Rettig heads the “atelierblau”, a long-term inclusion project of the Worms community. He sees his studio in the Kunsthaus Worms, which he moved into in 2002, as a place to meet and exchange ideas with artists and those interested in art.

Horst Rettig became known through stelae figures, ink drawings, structural images, socially critical installations and works in public spaces.
