Horst Vladar (born December 1941 in Odrau , Czech Republic ) is a German director , opera singer and, together with Annette Vladar and Anton Sprenzel, artistic director of the Neuburg Chamber Opera .

Life

Vladar came in 1946 as a child of Neuburg an der Donau , where he grew up and from 1956 in school and student theater extras first theater experiences gained. He studied French horn and singing at the Augsburg Conservatory and was then employed as a bass buffo at the theaters of St. Gallen , Vienna , Ulm , Berlin and Dortmund , and then as a singer and music theater director in Coburg , Trier , Osnabrück , Pforzheim and Lüneburg . In the past few years he has mainly played roles in the children's and youth theater in Cologne as well as guest appearances at the Dresden State Operetta .

Internationally recognized is his Neuburg Chamber Opera, which he founded in 1969 together with Anton Sprenzel (* 1931) and his brother Heinrich Wladarsch (1939–2013) in the late Biedermeier city theater of Neuburg an der Donau, for whose extraordinary profile he ensures as artistic director together with his wife Annette Vladar : Around sixty comic operas and operettas from the 18th and 19th centuries that had not been performed anywhere else in the twentieth century were revived here.
