Friedrich Wilhelm Quadt zu Wickrath
Friedrich Wilhelm Freiherr Quadt zu Wickrath (* around 1720, † around 1765) was a royal Prussian colonel , chief of garrison regiment No. 8 , knight of the Pour le Mérite and commander of the fortress Glatz .
Life
His father was the royal Prussian State Minister Ludwig Alexander Rölemann von Quadt and his mother was his second wife Luise Sophie Dorothea von Wylich and Lottum . His brother was Major General Johann Christian Rölemann Quadt von Wickrath (1699–1756).
In 1744 he changed from Russian to Prussian services . In August 1747 he was already lieutenant colonel and commander of the garrison regiment No. 8 ( Nettelhorst ) in Glatz and in 1749 received the order Pour le Mérite. He became a colonel and in 1757 chief of garrison regiment No. 8. When Glatz was conquered on July 26, 1760, he was taken prisoner. After being replaced, he was dismissed in 1763. He was previously tried by a court martial and sentenced to four years in prison.
