Georg Ernst von Nettelhorst

Georg Ernst von Nettelhorst (* 1703 ; † June 1757 in Glatz ) was a Prussian colonel , chief of garrison regiment No. 8 and heir of Warbelow .

Life

His father was the captain Dionysius von Nettelhorst . Georg Ernst entered Prussian service at the age of 14 and was promoted to King Friedrich Wilhelm's body regiment . King Friedrich II transferred him to the infantry regiment "Jung-Dohna" as a lieutenant colonel . On May 21, 1743 Nettelhorst was promoted to colonel. He took part in the Silesian Wars and the Siege of Cosel. During the battles in Upper Silesia, he acquired the order Pour le Mérite . In 1748 he received the "Heyking" garrison regiment and died in June 1757 in Glatz.

Nettelhorst was married to Charlotte Helene von Trach and Birkau († June 1760). The couple remained without children.

The widow married Count Heinrich Leopold von Reichenbach-Goschütz (1733–1805) in 1758 . Their daughter Helene Charlotte Amalie inherited the Warbelow estate after their mother's death. Since she died early, Count Reichenbach-Goschütz inherited the estate.
