Baron Johann Cristian Rölemann Quadt von Wickrath zu Zoppenbruch (* October 12, 1699 ; † October 3, 1756 in Lobositz ) was a royal Prussian major general, chief of infantry regiment No. 9 and dean of Kolberg.

Life

His parents were the royal Prussian State Minister Ludwig Alexander Rölemann von Quadt (1675–1745) and his wife Albertine Sybille von Hüchtenbrock . His brother was General Friedrich Wilhelm Quadt zu Wickrath .

On September 1, 1716 he became an ensign in Infantry Regiment No. 1 (Wartensleben). In 1719 he was transferred as a captain to Infantry Regiment No. 15 (Koenen). In 1728 he became major and on July 21, 1733 Drost von Goch and Sennep in Klevischen. In 1740 he became a lieutenant colonel in infantry regiment No. 34 (Prince Ferdinand) and in 1743 a colonel. In May 1747 he was appointed major general and in October 1747 he became chief of Infantry Regiment No. 9 . In 1748 he became cathedral dean of Kolberg, a position that he soon sold again.

He fought in the battles of Chotusitz and Kesselsdorf . He was seriously wounded in the Battle of Lobositz on October 1, 1756 and died of his injuries two days later.

He was married to Freiin Hermine Margarethe von Wartensleben (* October 2, 1694, † January 27, 1755 in Hamm). She was the daughter of Simon Elmershausen von Wartensleben . The couple had two daughters:
