Seyed Hossein Mousavian

Seyed Hossein Mousavian (* 1957 in Kashan ) is an Iranian diplomat . He has been a visiting scholar at Princeton University since 2009 .

Life

Mousavian studied at the Iranian University of Science and Technology, Sacramento City College and Sacramento State University in the United States . From 1980 to 1990 Mousavian was editor-in-chief of the daily Tehran Times , for which he wrote more than 2000 articles. At the same time he worked in the 1980s for the Iranian government, including as Vice President of the Islamic Propaganda Organization (1981-1983) and worked with Ali-Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani as chairman of the Parliamentary Administrative Organization (1983-1986), as well as of 1986 to 1989 in the Foreign Ministry. From 1990 to 1997 Mousavian was Iran's ambassador to Germany . He then headed the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Supreme Security Council under President Mohammad Chātami . At the same time, Mousavian continued his education and received a master’s degree from the University of Tehran in 1998 and a Ph.D. from the University of Kent in 2002. in international relations.
