Hostert ( lux . : Hueschtert , French : / English : Hostert ) is a small town in the municipality of Niederanven (lux .: Nidderaanwen ), in the canton of Luxembourg in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg (lux .: Lëtzebuerg). It is 372 meters above sea level.

The number of residents in Hostert has increased from 358 (2001), 358 (2005), 416 (2013) to 470 (2019) (around +31% in 18 years).

The former village chapel and nunmehrige cemetery chapel was on 27 December 1976 as a national monument (lux .: Nationaalt Monument) classified . The usual services are held in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church, built between 1857 and 1859 .

In 1908 a musical association was founded in Hostert (August 1st, 1908 provisional establishment of Hosterter Musik , lux .: Hueschterter Musek ). After 25 musicians had already participated in the association after two months, the final association, the Fanfare réunie de Hostert, was formed . In 2008 the 100th anniversary of the Réunie de Hostert fanfare was celebrated. In 2008 there were 50 musicians in the club.
