Hotel Kronprinz (Munich)
The former Hotel Kronprinz (Zweigstrasse 10) in the Munich district of Ludwigsvorstadt is a protected architectural monument with the number D-1-62-000-7793 in the Bavarian list of monuments .
The building erected between 1881 and 1882 with rich facade decorations with pilasters , belts , window frames, eaves and ornamental gables in the splendid neo-renaissance style was designed by Lorenz Bauer. The building, which was planned from the beginning as the Hotel Kronprinz, has room sequences around a central light shaft to the front and rear. There are vaulted halls in the basement.
During the Second World War , the sloping mansard roof was lost and was reconstructed in 2000. Today the former hotel is used as an office building, and cooking schools are located in the basement.
