The Lippischer Hof is under monument protection standing hotel in Detmold .

History and description

The building was built in 1724 as a cavalier house at the beginning of the planned new town . The originally two-storey, plastered baroque building was redesigned in the late classicist style in 1866 , heightened and extended with extensions. A baluster terrace and a baluster balcony over the portal have been added.

A comprehensive renovation took place from 1976 to 1980, when the extension to the avenue was demolished. The baroque portal arch with an inscription and an archway made of ashlar have been preserved from the original building ; both are marked 1724.

The building has been a listed building since 1986.
