Hotoke Ike (from Japanese 仏 池 ) is a small lake on the Prince Harald Coast of Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . On the Skarvsnes peninsula on the east bank of Lützow-Holm-Bucht lies in the southwest of Kizahashi Beach .
In this so-called lake moss pillars were first ( English moss pillars ) of the genus Leptobryum discovered. Japanese scholars named him in 2012 after the common name for Buddha in Japan .
