Howard D. White
Howard Dalby White (born June 15, 1936 in Salt Lake City , Utah) is an American library and information scientist .
White graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Ph.D. PhD. His dissertation was entitled Social science data sets: a study for librarians . He was later a professor at Drexel University .
White coined the term bibliogram (Howard D. White: On Extending Informetrics: An Opinion Paper . In: Proceedings of the 10th International Congress of the International Society for Scientometrics and Informetrics. Stockholm, 2005. pp. 442-449).
In 2005 he received the Derek John de Solla Price Award from Scientometrics magazine .
