Howard Banford Siler (born June 18, 1945 in Newport News , Virginia - † July 8, 2014 in Clermont , Florida ) was an American bobsledder .

Siler has been the US champion nine times in his playing career. He also won bronze in the four-man bobsleigh at the 1969 World Bobsleigh Championship in Lake Placid . At his first Winter Olympics in 1972 in Sapporo , Japan , he was able to achieve 16th place in the two-man bobsleigh. Eight years later in Lake Placid, he was able to improve to fifth place; in the four-man bobsleigh it was enough for 13th place.

After finishing his active career, Siler worked as an insurance agent. He later worked as a coach for the Jamaican bobsleigh team , which first competed in the 1988 Winter Olympics .

Siler died at his home in Clermont, Florida, aged 69.
