Howard V. Mother of Pearl

Howard V. Perlmutter (born November 4, 1925 , † November 8, 2011 ) was an expert in the field of globalization and the internationalization of companies. He specialized in developing multinational corporations.

He gained particular fame in 1969 through the publication of his so-called EPG typology, which he expanded in 1979 together with his colleague David A. Heenan to form the EPRG typology . The name is an acronym which (the name of the basic types of strategies described in the model, E thnozentrisch , P olyzentrisch , G eozentrisch later supplemented and around R egiozentrisch ) composed. Even today, the model is still important basic knowledge for international management or international personnel management or intercultural management .
