Hoya Cinnamomifolia is a plant of the genus of wax flowers ( Hoya ) of the subfamily of asclepiadoideae (Asclepiadoideae).

features

Hoya cinnamomifolia forms up to 3 m long, winding, bare shoots. The leaves are oval or oblong-oval and pointed at the end. These measure 5 to 7 × 3 cm and are fleshy to leathery. They sit on short, thick stems. The edges are slightly bent. The many-flowered inflorescence is hemispherical to spherical, the stem is about 3 cm long. The bald, fleshy-looking corolla measures approx. 2 cm in diameter and is yellow-green in color. The crown lobes are broad-oval, pointed and bent back. The flat secondary crown has a wine-red to deep purple color. The flowers are open for about ten days. They smell bad. The staminal corolla lobes are oval, pointed at the end and form a keel in the middle of the upper side.

Geographical occurrence

The species occurs in Indonesia ( Java ).
