The Hrvatski demokratski odbor (HDO, Croatian Democratic Committee) was a terrorist organization formed by Croatian exiles.

The German branch of the HDO, which had its headquarters in Münster , was banned on September 7, 1967 by Federal Interior Minister Paul Lücke . In the prohibition order it was stated that the HDO is a foreigners association whose purposes and activities run counter to criminal law and which is directed against the idea of ​​international understanding . The HDO ban was the first of a total of four nationwide bans on right-wing extremist organizations for foreigners in the Federal Republic of Germany. All four concerned organizations of right-wing extremist Croatian exiles (after the HDO, the HRB followed in 1968 and in 1976 the ENT and its sub-organization Drina ).
