Hu Jiwei

Hu Jiwei ( Chinese  胡績偉  /  胡绩伟 , Pinyin Hú Jìwĕi ; born September 15, 1916 in Weiyuan , Republic of China ; † September 16, 2012 in Beijing , People's Republic of China ) was a Chinese politician. He was the editor-in-chief of the Chinese party newspaper Renmin Ribao .

In October 2010 he attracted international attention when he signed an open letter for more democracy and less censorship with Li Rui , Zong Peizhang , Jiang Ping and 500 others.
