Huai'an County ( Chinese  怀 安县 , Pinyin Huái'ān Xiàn ) is a district of the prefecture-level city of Zhangjiakou in the Chinese province of Hebei . It has an area of ​​1,706 square kilometers and a population of 240,000 (2006). Its main town is the large municipality of Zhaigoubao柴沟 堡镇. Huai'an is located to the west of Zhangjiakou and borders Shanxi Province and Inner Mongolia .

The Zhaohua Temple (Zhaohua si 昭化 寺) in Huai'ancheng has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (5-210) since 2001 .
