Huangdao

The Huangdao District ( 黄岛区 , huángdǎo qū - "Yellow Island") is a district of the prefecture -level city of Qingdao in the Chinese province of Shandong . Huangdao has an area of 2220.1 km² and had a population of 1,392,600 (end of 2010). The free trade zone with the 'Qingdao Economic & Technological Development Area', where the Sino-German Ecopark is located, is economically important .
