Shinan
The municipality Shinan ( 市南区 , Shinan Qū - "Southtown") is a municipality in the Chinese province of Shandong . It belongs to the administrative area of the prefecture-level city of Qingdao . Shinan has an area of 30.01 km² and a population of 544,800 (end of 2010).
Administrative structure
At the municipal level, the city district is made up of fourteen street quarters.
City friendship
In October 2012 a memorandum was signed between the old town district and the Baden city of Freiburg im Breisgau . The respective city representatives were the District Mayor Hua Yusong and Lord Mayor Dieter Salomon . The agreement provides for cooperation in the fields of tourism as well as environmental and monument protection. In May 2016 a preliminary meeting to found a circle of friends took place.
