Huayin (华阴 市; Pinyin : Huàyīn Shì) is an independent city in the independent city of Weinan in the Chinese province of Shaanxi . In 1999 it had 247,771 inhabitants.

Huayin is home to the Xiyue Temple , the site of the capital city memory and the Hengzhen site, which have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China since 1988, 2001 and 2006, respectively . The Wei State Great Wall runs through the Huayins area.
