Tongguan (Weinan)

Tongguan County ( 潼关 县 , Tóngguān Xiàn ) is a district of the prefecture-level city of Weinan in the Chinese province of Shaanxi . It has an area of ​​526 and 444.96 square kilometers and has a population of 160,000 (2004). Its main town is the large community of Chengguan (城关 镇).

The site of the twelve city towers of Tongguan (十二连城烽火台遗址, Shi'er Liancheng fēnghuǒ tái yízhǐ ) from the time the Eastern Zhou Dynasty and the Ming and Tang -temporal old town of Tongguan (潼关故城, gù Tongguan chéng ) have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China since 2013 .
